Sunday Classes

Where Guidance Begins taught by Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans. Join us each Sunday from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm as we discover the Sirah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Monday Classes

Qualitative Qur'an with Umar Ali. This class examines Surah al-Fatihah and a portion of Surah al-Baqarah in detail. Check back to find out when the next session begins.

Tuesday Classes

Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans leads us in discussion on a variety of topics in response to your questions each Tuesday evening from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm.

Presentations

Individual or group presentations can be scheduled with Managing Director, Umar Ali, to learn about Islam from the viewpoint of a practing Muslim.

Ramadan Iftaar

We are pleased to announce that we will continue our tradition of hosting Iftaar each week in shaa' Allah. Check back soon for details.

Eid al-Fitr Annual BBQ

In keeping with our Ramadan traditions, we are planning to host our annual Eid al-Fitr BBQ at Lake Michigan in shaa' Allah. Details forthcoming.

The Islamic Reading Room Chicago is the headquarters of The Institute of Islamic Information and Education (IIIE). IIIE is dedicated to providing accurate information about Islamic beliefs, history and civilization from authentic  classical sources. IIIE was established in Chicago, Illinois in 1985 with the comprehensive project of conveying the message of Islam to everyone in North America. IIIE is a leading provider of brochures and other educational publications to individuals and institutions throughout North America.

The main objectives of the Islamic Reading Room Chicago is to provide a welcoming space to further the education of Muslims and non-Muslims about Islamic beliefs, through onsite classes, our non-circulating library, and special events and programs.

The Islamic Reading Room Chicago was established in Chicago, Illinois in 1985. The IIIE is registered in the State of Illinois and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and the United State Postal Service (USPS) as a not-for-profit, religious organization.
